2025 BLL ASAP Safety Plan
Full safety manual · League ID# 00148007 · Revised December 2024
Every coach, manager, and board member receives a copy of this plan. It's also kept on-site in the Hulmes-Warner Mini-Fenway announcer's booth and concession stand. Below are the highlights — the full document covers field inspection, concession stand safety, and injury reporting in more detail.

Safety Officer
Our Safety Officer maintains the plan and is the point of contact for incident/injury reports and Abuse Awareness Training certificates. Report to: [email protected]. See the Board of Directors page for current officer names.
AED
An AED is located in the Hulmes-Warner Field announcer's booth. It's inspected before every season, and managers/coaches/board members receive training on its use.
Weather & lightning
Once thunder is heard, the game is called — no exceptions — even if no lightning is visible. Umpires have final say and will clear the field immediately to safe cover (vehicles, or the Chestnut Hill/Cold Spring school entrances). The same policy applies to practices.
Concussion protocol
Any suspected concussion means immediate removal from play. The athlete stays out for the remainder of that day and may only return with clearance from a qualified health care professional. Coaches and managers complete NFHS's "Concussion in Sports" course annually.
Volunteer background checks
All volunteers undergo a Massachusetts CORI background check meeting Little League's national requirements, plus mandatory Abuse Awareness Training as part of the annual Little League Volunteer Application.
Reporting an incident
Any injury requiring first aid or medical treatment should be reported to the Safety Officer within 48 hours, using the Incident/Injury Tracking Report included in the safety manual.
